Why Choose Our Shed Suppliers and Installers
Many shed installations fail on the basics, which is why problems like sticking doors, damp interiors, and leaking roofs are so common.
Our approach focuses on getting those fundamentals right from the beginning. Bases are levelled accurately to prevent movement, ventilation is specified to reduce condensation, roofing is installed with correct overlaps, and door hardware is fitted or upgraded for proper security. The result is shed storage that works as it should, remaining dry, secure, and easy to use year after year.

Our Shed Suppliers and Installers Process
We begin by understanding what you plan to store and how often you’ll access it, which guides size selection, door layout, and positioning. The site is then prepared by clearing vegetation, levelling the ground, and installing suitable base systems that allow airflow and drainage beneath the shed. Assembly follows a methodical sequence with regular checks for square and level throughout.
Roofing felt or shingles are laid with proper overlaps and sealed at vulnerable points, while doors are carefully aligned to ensure smooth operation and secure closing. Final checks confirm ventilation, fixings, and hardware are all working as intended before completion.
Shed Insulation, Lining & Electrical Preparation
We offer insulation and lining upgrades to make sheds more comfortable and usable year-round, whether for storage, hobbies, or light work use. This includes 16mm untreated matchboards for wall lining, 25mm Kingspan insulation for improved thermal performance, and grey laminate flooring for a clean, durable finish. Electrical sockets and lighting can also be installed to support everyday use inside the building.
Please note that this package does not include a live electrical feed to the building. A feed must be installed separately before use or added at a later date, as the building will not have power until this is in place.
Frequently Asked Questions About Shed Supply and Installation
What base does a typical garden shed need?
A level, well-drained base that prevents ground contact and allows airflow underneath. Pressure-treated timber bearers on compacted hardcore work well for most situations.
Concrete pads suit heavier sheds or areas where bearers may settle. We assess ground conditions and recommend the right solution without over-specifying.
Why does ventilation matter for shed storage?
Temperature changes cause condensation in poorly ventilated sheds, which leads to rust, mould, and rot.
Small vents placed high on the walls allow moisture to escape while preventing pests from entering. Ventilation is sized and positioned based on the shed and its contents.
How do you position sheds for good drainage around the building?
Ground should fall away from the shed where possible and not direct water toward the walls.
We consider gutters, downpipes, nearby fences, and structures that might channel rainwater, adjusting the base area to avoid pooling and long-term damp issues.
What door security options improve on standard shed latches?
Pad-bolts, shrouded hasps, door bars, and hinge bolts all improve security depending on what’s stored inside.
We advise on sensible upgrades that match the value of the contents without overcomplicating the setup.
Can sheds be moved if I need to reposition them later?
Smaller sheds on bearer bases can often be moved, while larger sheds may require partial disassembly.
We can advise on future flexibility when installing or help reposition existing sheds where needed.
How does roof pitch affect shed longevity?
Steeper roof pitches shed water more effectively, reducing moisture build-up and extending felt life.
Shallow pitches are more prone to water sitting on the surface. We check the roof design and advise if improvements are needed.

Why Customers Choose M&M Sheds for Their Garden Sheds
Ventilation and Damp Control
The difference between a shed that stays dry and one that becomes musty is airflow. We install or improve ventilation to suit shed size and layout, allowing moisture to escape while keeping rain out.
Combined with proper base construction, this helps protect tools and stored items through all seasons.
Placement for Drainage and Access
Where a shed sits affects both convenience and longevity. We consider access routes, drainage falls, and orientation to prevent water build-up and awkward use.
Positioning is planned to balance day-to-day practicality with long-term performance.
Shed Supply and Installation You Can Rely On
If you want shed storage that works properly from day one and continues to perform for years to come, M&M Sheds and Fencing is ready to help you plan and install the right solution with confidence.

We went for a pent shed along the fence and they helped decide the best door position. It’s made using it much easier and nothing catches when opening.

We wanted something that wouldn’t look awful by the patio. The finish is really neat and it actually suits the garden.
It’s bright enough inside to find things easily and it doesn’t smell damp. They cleared up properly too, no rubbish left behind.

We had an old shed that was always damp so I was cautious this time. They spent time talking through base options and ventilation before we booked.
The result has been brilliant, dry inside and no musty smell at all.

We went for a security shed as we’ve got a fair bit of kit and I didn’t fancy leaving it in something flimsy. The doors shut properly and the lock feels reassuring, not like a token latch.
They took care with the base too, so it doesn’t feel like it’s going to shift over time. Left the garden tidy as well.
